Climate ☆WInter☆

I’ll talk about winter of Japan. The winter is the coldest and the driest in all season. First, I’ll introduce to OSHOUGATSU. The OSHOUGATSU means the first few days of the month when the New Year’s holiday is celebrated. I’ll show you how to spend OSHOUGATSU. Japanese visiting a shrine or a temple at the beginning of the New Year, and pray to peace in the New Year. They eat an OSETIRYOURI. OSETIRYOURI is a Japanese traditional food and the food has several of meanings. For example, people eat a shrimp because they want to live a long time. People sent New Year’s cards and play games. There are many Japanese tradition games. For example, HANETUKI, KARUTA, TAKOAGE and so on. Second, I’ll introduce a Sapporo Snow Festival in Hokkaido. It is held at the three parks in Hokkaido early in February. There are many snow carvings. For example, animals and castles and so on. You should visit there.
